Can you see him in this picture? He’s very well camouflaged among the pinecones.
Earlier in the day he was being attacked by the pair of Swainson’s Hawks that have been nesting in that tree. They finally gave up after a valiant effort, consisting of many violent and powerful high speed air attacks. I am afraid that the Swainson’s young may have met their demise.
