Sunday, September 14th, 2008Very common in the far northern part of the Sacramento Valley around Redding, Ca; I recently took this photo of the swallowtail down here near Putah Creek.
Indian Valley Reservoir
Saturday, September 13th, 2008This is a reservoir on the north fork of Cache Creek; and that’s my friend’s truck parked in the middle of the lake where we began a little hike up a canyon.
It has been a little dry for the past couple of years!

Thursday, September 11th, 2008A wild hen and her poults have recently shown up at Sarge’s Cache Creek Ranch. Here they are feeding on the other side of the creek.
