A few more images of the lake from our hike.

Very common in the far northern part of the Sacramento Valley around Redding, Ca; I recently took this photo of the swallowtail down here near Putah Creek.

This is a reservoir on the north fork of Cache Creek; and that’s my friend’s truck parked in the middle of the lake where we began a little hike up a canyon.

It has been a little dry for the past couple of years!

A wild hen and her poults have recently shown up at Sarge’s Cache Creek Ranch. Here they are feeding on the other side of the creek.
