American White Pelican

Many of the American White Pelicans winter around here in central California. I especially find them an amazing sight while they are flying in formation.

I snapped a photo of this little chickadee the other morning; and I found it slightly amusing how much the setting reminded me of a painting that I recently completed!

I’m starting to do some greeting cards, and today I explored the capablities of the printer. It’s a sneaky device, but I think I know what it wants from me now!

Limited Edtion Print: Redtail Hawk

In the near future I may be going to a larger format for my new release prints.

Most of my prints have an image size of 9.5″ x 12.5″. The Red-tailed hawk is 11.5″ x 14.75″ on a 13″ x 16.5″ watercolor paper.

This is acid free paper with archival inks.

Original Watercolor: Smallmouth Bass

Bass fishing has been a favorite pastime of mine. We used to fly fish for the smallmouth variety on Cache Creek near Capay, California. This watercolor painting was a study of what I thought the fishes point of view might look like.
