Enjoying my bewilderment, no doubt!

A  while back I was walking down this dirt path in a heavily wooded area;  when all of a sudden something lunged out of the cover right beside me, nearly knocking me to the ground.  Taken aback, and slightly bewildered, I looked to see what it was; but it was gone.  Being none the worse for wear, I began to move on.  Then, suddenly, up ahead I spotted them!  It was a young doe and her two fawns looking back at me.  I think that they were enjoying my bewilderment.
