Is it lunch yet?
I don’t think that my little friend is getting lunch today!
The end the season for Sarge’s Cache creek vegetable garden has arrived. This year we put down straw for weed control and water conservation. Now I have the garden roto-tilled and the straw all piled up to compost over the winter.
I usually write about “Sarge’s” Cache Creek Ranch, but I could also say Thurb’s Cache Creek Ranch. I don’t know why but some of his friends call him Sarge while others call him Thurb. Anyway, thank you for the cornucopia of veggies this summer.

In the beginning
Except for my herbs and a lot of foliage, this year’s vegetable garden has not been very productive; however, it is a pleasant spot to sit and do nothing.

This is my new attempt at a vegetable garden. The past few years have not been very successful due to the fact that I’m getting shaded out by some redwood trees.
I’m probably going to grow more herbs; they seem to do a lot better. However, I am trying the Topsyturvy tomato gadget; it looks like it could prove to be interesting! T Rex seems to approve.
This was given to me by Sarge from his Cache Creek Ranch. He purchased it from Totally Tomatoes.

Here are some hungry little guys eyeballing the new Cache Creek garden. Sarge is going to have his hands full!
